In this exciting new cookery series, Trish Deseine takes us on an inspirational and delicious journey into the way the French people cook, eat and live. Trish Deseine first went to Paris 20 years ago from her native Belfast. She quickly discovered that food, eating and cooking are deeply infused into the French psyche. Trish will make you fall in love with French food, French style and the French capital. She will show you how to take a leaf out of a Frenchwoman's life so you will be able to cook with confidence and style. Throughout Trish's Paris Kitchen, we will see how exactly one handles French delicacies such as foie gras, truffles and lobster. We explore the heart of any French town, the bistro, learn how to prepare classic bistro dishes, and we meet first hand some of the movers and shakers in the world of French cuisine.

I have been looking for a DVD of this show and it looks like there isn't one! Does anyone know if it is going to be released? I love this show, especially when I see it on the weekend... after watching all I want to do is cook :O)

I absolutely, positively love watching this show. I love how Trish takes us behind the scenes of cooking; the markets, the famous chef's kitchens, and enters the heart of Paris and the French. For me it's almost an out of body experience watching this show - I visit Paris every afternoon! Please never take it off air. Unlike the relaxed French mother this is an escape for a stressed out overworked Australian mother.

In episode 2 "Decadence" Trish Deseine demonstrates her method of preparing a lobster. In Australia we do not consider boiling a live crustacean a humane method of cooking it, however this may not be the case in Europe. What a wonderful show! It hooks you instantly. The whole ambience of the show gives you a wonderful feel for the city of Paris. Trish has a lovely manner and makes these Parisian receipes easy to follow. A real joy to watch and experience!

Hi. there is a website where you can get her recipes. If you do a google search for: trish's paris kitchen, you will find her recipes. She does have cook books but these recipes are free. You have to click on 'Recipes" to get them and this one is under souffle des fromage. Hope this helps. I will also be trying some of the recipes as I love her show
