Anna Maria grew up in a small village in Austria. Her parents owned a guesthouse, so she was always around food and cooking. She came to Australia and couldn’t speak a word of English. She has five brothers and always had to be quick and fend for herself. This is why she's known as the fastest in the company - Anna Maria can do a cake per day. She is known for her efficiency, very delicate style and is queen of piping and sugar flowers.
Paris says, 'Antony is a cake designer who is as fabulous as his ideas and sketches.'
Emma is a qualified chef and pastry chef. Until recently, she was in the front office doing admin, but has moved into the kitchen to manage the orders more closely and develop her cake decorating skills. Emma loves working at Planet Cake, especially being in the kitchen, as she hears all the gossip.
Margie grew up in Lockhart, a country town west of Wagga, with a population of 1000 people. She moved to Sydney in 1969 to do a five year Fine Art course. It wasn't until 1988 that Margie began cake decorating.
Naoko was born in Japan and came to Australia eight years ago seeking a different lifestyle. She has always been interested in the food industry and started work as a cake decorator three years ago after studying hospitality and commercial cooking at TAFE.
Passionate about cakes and a savvy entrepreneur, Paris is the director and owner of Planet Cake.
Ritzy is from Japan and has been in Sydney for 10 years. She graduated from Design School in Tokyo in 1990 and became a Graphic Designer. One day, Ritzy saw a wedding cake magazine and thought to herself ‘there is nothing like this in Tokyo.’ She saved up money to come to Australia, and graduated from Cordon Bleu School as a pastry chef.
