World-class chef Michel Roux channels his ambition and inspirational style into a very personal mission to create a new generation of restaurant service superstars in this reality series. Roux's father and uncle revolutionised eating with their innovative Roux Scholarship; now Michel wants to do the same for service. Believing that anyone can develop the passion and talent for serving as maître d's and sommeliers, he vows to transform several inexperienced and ineffectual young people into a confident and efficient front-of-house team – within a month. The participants come from various social classes, but the common element is that they are all directionless and eager for change. The chef's goal is to give all of them the skills to secure lucrative and glamorous jobs at major restaurants and hotels.
