Getting out of the kitchen and into the hustle and bustle of a market, Market Kitchen is an exciting new daily food magazine series presenting ideas on where to enjoy and cook the very best of British food.
Entertaining and interactive, Market Kitchen is presented by passionate and knowledgeable foodies with a real appetite for life. Fronted by Tom Parker Bowles (author of The Year of Eating Dangerously and food writer for the Mail on Sunday and Tatler), Matthew Fort (food writer and critic) and award winning chef Matt Tebbutt (Great British Menu). Each week the team will be joined by a celebrity guest chef, and all the mouth-watering food created during the programme will be sampled and judged by members of the public, invited to join them in the Market Kitchen café.
Borough Market, Britain’s best known farmers market provides the backdrop to the series and will give the show a unique feel, allowing access to the freshest and best local ingredients with an unrivalled range of meat, fish and vegetables and of course a wealth of entertaining characters working at and visiting the market.
Focusing on tempting food and recipes to tantalise your taste buds, this landmark series will include a mix of exciting strands, such as meeting the people behind Borough Market’s best ingredients, behind the scenes takes on specialist food producers and their customers, preparing and cooking specialist and seasonal produce from individual stallholders, topical debate on a food issue of the day, demonstrations of mouth watering signature dishes from top chefs and opportunities for viewers to participate both in person and interactively with the content and personalities involved in each week’s shows.
