Travelling the length and breadth of the country in his trusty 4x4, all-action Marco shoots, fishes and forages to find the finest natural ingredients the country has to offer. His uncompromising search takes him on a unique culinary road trip around Britain, with its beautiful landscapes and many picturesque villages, as he aims to inspire viewers to re-engage with the environment.
Resurrecting age-old recipes, dishing out valuable cookery tips, and meeting many colourful ‘food heroes’ along the way, Marco is on a mission to convert the ‘TV-dinner brigade’ to the wonders of fresh food. With the highest quality ingredients all successfully sourced, he then sets about creating amazing dishes that people can easily prepare at home. Some of the most popular delights include updated versions of rustic flavoursome favourites, such as steak with oysters and fish pie. With each episode focusing on a different course, Marco carefully selects three dishes for possible inclusion on his ‘ultimate menu’ of one starter, one fish course, one meat course and one pudding.
