Richard heads to Wellington seeking out the eighties. Chef Martin Bosley whips up a nouvelle cuisine dish he used to serve, the head of the vegetarian society cooks a family curry and in Wadestown he gets treated to a chocolate fondue.

This episode is a celebration of mince. In Arrow town Richard samples hearty Scotch broth which is cooked on top of a coal range. He heads over to Wanaka where the wife of a supermodel cooks him mince with a South American twist and in Roxborough he gets to sample a classic old apricot sponge pudding.

In North Canterbury, Richard tastes some locally famous scones, a butcher cooks him corned beef and for pudding a Supergran makes him chocolate self saucing pudding. From his kitchen Richard tackles a meal he hates the most - brunch.

This episode celebrates the glamour of travel in New Zealand and we are on the road. Richard jumps on the train to Kaikoura and remembers sugar buns. On the Interislander he has a meal of fish and chips and two ex-air hostesses remind him of the airline food of days gone by.

In this episode Richard heads to Taranaki where a surfer cooks him mushrooms and bacon on toast. Deep in the heart of New Plymouth he enjoys a hearty chicken casserole and a dairy farmer cooks him their family favourite - bread and butter pudding.
