John makes Sundubu Jjiggae, a soft tofu stew, and inspired by the pancakes in Gwanjang Market, he serves up us a tasty Kimchi pancake with his own addition, minced pork, for extra flavour.

Royal Cuisine

John cooks us a version of one of Koreas official top 10 dishes, bibimpap, and also a juicy galbi burger, which he adapts from an ancient royal recipe declaring it 'the taste of Korea', in a bun.

Up at his campsite base in the mountains, John steams sea bass stuffed with aromats on the barbie. In his Seoul kitchen, he makes his own version of seafood pancake and a delicious prawn gimbap.

John makes a mouth-watering kimchi fried rice, a comforting breakfast for a hungry morning. He then makes a quick cabbage kimchi alternative and his own version of mandu, kimchi and pork filled dumplings.

At his campsite, John grills BBQ squid while back in his Seoul kitchen, he serves up a well-known classic, Galbi, or short rib of beef, as well as his own particular favourite Dwaeji Galbi, Spicy Pork Ribs.

John shows how supermarket gochuchang makes a great quick marinade for spicy BBQ chicken. He also grills monkfish, Korean style, and uses doenjang to make his version of a fantastic belly pork dish, bossam.
