About the Show

About the Show

Jamie Oliver is exposing the truth about junk food to an audience of self-professed fast food junkies in this one-hour special. It will be a graphic and uncompromising revelation of the food we eat and what it does to us. The live audience will bring a history of food crimes along with them, from pizza lovers, chocoholics, pot-bellied beer drinkers and soft drink addicts, each of the audience will be left in no doubt about the risk they are taking with their bad diet. The active audience will be poked, prodded and analysed by our team of experts to see what is happening to their insides. Using a series of dramatic
demonstrations, including the autopsy of a 25-stone man who literally ate himself to death, Jamie, physician and fitness expert Dr Catherine Spencer-Smith, nutritionist Jane Clarke and anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens show 18 volunteers exactly what harm their terrible diets are doing to them and what they can do to change their ways and get healthy.

Why was the autopsy cut from this program!?
I watched 'Jamei's Eat To Save Your Life' when it viewed on free to air last year and it changed my eating habits immediately - but seeing that autopsy was a HUGE factor in that. It's a vital part of the program and I cannot believe it was cut out.
I am a person who cannot handle watching medical shows as the gore of operations makes my stomach turn but the autopsy on 'Jamie's Eat To Save Your Life' did not have that effect at all. It was educational and facinating, the build up over the program makes you comfortable and aware it will happen. I tried to find this program on dvd after the first time I saw it and found it had been banned due to the autopsy.
I was so excited when I saw that Lifestyle Food were airing this program and now I'm devestated that it's not the full show.
Why!?
