Seafood, fish and chips
We are a specialty fish and chips café, known both for our original recipes for marinated seafood and freshly prepared salads, and most importantly the high quality of our traditional fish and chips.
The Fishmongers Wife provides both a casual dining experience and a takeaway service, with indoor seating for 50, outdoor seating for 28. Our emphasis is on a range of top quality fresh Australian filleted fish (e.g. Snapper, Atlantic Salmon, Barramundi) marinated in a variety of International flavours - popular choices include Grilled Lemongrass Snapper, Teriyaki Salmon, or Tahitian Coconut Dory.
A variety of other seafood is also available – Garlic Prawns, Sweet Chilli Octopus, Sea Scallops, Salt Pepper and Garlic Calamari, or Thai Fish Cakes. We offer a variety of cooking approaches, emphasising a clean low fat version of seafood. Our well loved Beer Batter Chips are a must; or the low cholesterol alternative of delicious steamed Jasmine Rice.
We have been open for business since 19 June 2002. We provide a high quality product and offer take-away, outdoor and air-conditioned indoor dining areas.
With our years of experience providing gourmet seafood meals, we look forward to giving Brisbane a real treat in our new specialty fish and chip shop. We source the freshest, best quality local and Sunshine Coast seafood available - straight from the trawler.
