We have been going to this restaurant for years and the food is always good, as is the service. A great place for locals as well as visitors to the Port Douglas area. The Yabbie Linguine is fabulous as is the Grand Marnier souffle.... Well done Bill & Co.

from the moment you walk in you they make you feel you are the only one there they cater superbly to any intolerences you have the menu, wine floor staff bar staff kitchen to the maitrede are an intricate tight knighted family bent on providing you amazing service if these guys do not win I will very dissappointed

every dish is gorgeously presented, full of flavour, innovative and economically priced. the staff are attentive, funky, and knowledgeable. The coctails are the best and I've never had a bad meal there. I can't say that about any other restaraunt in Australia.

Firstly and foremost, local produce.....fresh, appropriate and keeping with the feel of the tropical north. Secondly, imaginative use of that produce through innovative cooking. Thirdly, ambience: perfectly suited to the environment - open, neo-colonial, casual....welcome the the far north! Fouthly, service: friendly, prompt and professional. Finally: the intangible but essential role the restaurant plays in what is a small but highly competative tourist mecca. Salsa prides itself as the local's choice and if it maintains the above elements, then this boast is well deserved.

PS: The affogatto is orgasmic!

We were in Port Douglas from WA for a party and a crowd of us went to the Salsa Bar for dinner. What an experience. The food was amazing, staff fantastic and it was certainly the best meal we had in PD during the weeks holiday. Try the dessert taste plate - five of us ordered one to share and it was embarrasing to watch the food being devoured as though it was our last meal.....
