An easy to prepare recipe to help break the ice over pre-dinner drinks and let your guests know they are in for a memorable meal. Don't let on how simple it is to prepare. Let them think it takes an expert!


  • 1 avocado

  • 1 canned crabmeat or canned tuna

  • Cream cheese

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • Freshly milled black pepper

  • Black olives

  • Paprika


  • 1.

    Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone, which is much too hard to eat anyway.

  • 2.

    With a teaspoon, scoop out the flesh and place in a small bowl and mash it up. Set the avocado skins aside. You will use it later.

  • 3.

    Add the crabmeat (or tuna), lemon juice, a shake of black pepper and enough cream cheese to make a smooth blend.

  • 4.

    Pile the mixture into the avocado skins.

  • 5.

    Drizzle a little paprika over the mixture and garnish with a black olive.
