A quick and easy dish that can be served as a starter; that is sure to turn heads. Credit to my mother and youngest sister on this family favourite.
Hard boil 6 eggs
Soften the butter while the eggs are boiling.
After the eggs have cooled down shell them and put them into a small blender/food processor.
Blend the eggs and butter at high speed until well mixed.
Spread egg and butter mix onto the intended serving plate.
Spread the sour cream over the egg and butter mixture.
Finely chop the white onion and sprinkle over the sour cream layer.
Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate until ready to server.
Before serving spoon the caviar topping onto the tart and serve with crackers.
