Beef and Potato Bake


  • 500g of minced beef

  • 1 cup of shredded basil

  • 1 cup of chopped flat leaf parsley

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 1 Spanish onion

  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon

  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 kg of washed potatoes (sliced thin)

  • 2 tsp of Vegeta mixed with 500ml of waters

  • 200g of grated cheddar


  • 1.

    Combine mince, herbs, garlic, onion, cinnamon and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and mix.

  • 2.

    Alternately layer mince and potato in a baking dish until half full, then add half the cheese and continue layering until baking dish is full.

  • 3.

    Pour over the stock and sprinkle the top with cheese.

  • 4.

    Bake at 200-220 for about 30-40 minutes.
