Banana Flambe


  • 8 Bananas (ripe)

  • 100g Castor sugar

  • 25g Butter

  • 250ml Orange juice

  • 100ml Jack Daniel


  • 1.

    Peel the bananas.

  • 2.

    In a frying pan, melt the sugar and the butter together until light caramel.

  • 3.

    Then add the bananas until golden brown all over.

  • 4.

    Reduce the heat to medium, add the orange juice.

  • 5.

    Reduce to a sauce consistency, add the Jack Daniels and flambé.

  • 6.

    Place a banana on a plate with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle some sauce on top.

It's also very good with rum.
