This is a recipe that has a nice hot and sour taste, perfect for winter soup.


  • ingredients

  • 1 table spoon of lime leaves finely slice

  • 1 table spoon of lemon grass finely chopped

  • 250ml of fish stock or chicken stoke

  • 1/4 teaspoon of tamarind powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of chilli paste

  • 1 teaspoon of tom yum paste

  • 1/4 teaspoon of galangal powder

  • 4 king prawns (or more up to you)

  • spring onion chopped

  • 5 button mushroom chopped (or what ever mushroom you wish)

  • 2 tomato

  • coriander

  • thai basil leaves


  • 1.

    All you do is get a regular pot size, add the stock and all ingredients together. Then when it starts simmering put mushroom, prawns, tomato in. then taste

  • 2.

    leave in for at lease less then a minute or 2. when cooked pour out to a bowl then garnish it with shallots,coriander and basil leaves.
