Jacquie's Scones

Light and easy scones for every morning , afternoon or high tea

Ingredients

  • Plain Flour 6 ½ Cups

  • Baking Powder - 3 ½ Tablespoons

  • Salt 2 teasponns

  • Castor Sugar - ½ Cup

  • Lemonade 1 ¾ Cup or 375ml Can

  • Cream 1 ¾ Cup

    Method

    • Preheat Oven to 175C (170C Fan Forced)

  • 3.

    • Mix dry Ingredients together in large Bowl

  • 4.

    • Add Cream & Lemonade

  • 5.

    • Knead together to form soft dough (Do not over knead or over handle the dough)

  • 6.

    • Turn out of floured board / surface

  • 7.

    • Roll out to 2 ½ cm thick

  • 8.

    • Cut to Desired Size (Either Square or Circle with scone cutter or knife)

  • 9.

    • Place on lined Tray

  • 10.

    • Brush top with Milk

  • 11.

    • Bake for approx 15-18 mins

  • 12.

Notes

I hope you enjoy, remember you do not need to make to the whole batch you can reduce quantities but they freeze really well, the mixture needs to moist.
