This is a geat sponge easy cake, you through it all together. It is sweet enough not to need icing and becomes a favourite quickly


  • 1 Cup of Self Raising Flour

  • 1 Cup Sugar

  • 1/2 Cup Milk

  • 2 Eggs

  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa

  • 90g Melted Margarine


  • 1.

    Grease or Flour 2 sandwich loaf tins or one standard tin.

  • 2.

    Melt Margarine in microwave and set aside.

  • 3.

    Sift flour and cocoa together into large bowl.

  • 4.

    Add all other ingredients, including margarine.

  • 5.

    Beat Well until combined.

  • 6.

    Put in tin and bake @ 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until skewer comes out clean

  • 7.

    Leave in tin for 10 mins before turning out onto cooling rack
