Crispy Low-Fat Chicken

It is KFC the low-fat way !! Adapted from a number of recipes and time, along with girlfriends over drinks.


  • Breast Fillet 500g

  • Cornflake Crumbs 3/4 cup

  • Egg Whites 2

  • Pepper 1 tsp

  • Italian Pizza Herbs 1-2 tsp

  • Chicken Stock powder 1-2 tsp

  • Baking spray

  • Skim Milk 1/4 cup

  • Turn fan-forced oven on 180c.


  • 1.

    Beat egg white and milk together, place in a bowl

  • 2.

    Mix cornflake crumbs, chicken stock, herbs, pepper together in a seperate bowl.

  • 3.

    Cut chicken breast into strips.

  • 4.

    Dip each strip into egg white and milk mix.

  • 5.

    Then dip and cover each piece in the cornflake mixture.

  • 6.

    Lay on a baking tray on grease proof paper.

  • 7.

    Spray each piece with baking spray.

  • 8.

    Place in oven for 10min, then turn spray and bake again for another 8-10min.

  • 9.

    Enjoy !


Serve with crunchy leb/yirros bread mixed into a salad or create a fatoush salad to enjoy on the side.
