  • 1.

Preheat oven to 180 C. Fry mince until brown, add packet of French Onion Soup mix and bottle of tomato puree, simmer for 5 minutes adding a little water if needed. Make 1 litre of white sauce by mixing a small amount of the milk with the cornflour until there are no lumps and it makes a thin paste. Heat the milk until it is simmering but do not bring to the boil then add the paste and stir until it thickens then add the packet of shredded Motzarella cheese, stir off the heat until cheese has melted.

Grease a deep baking dish. Put a layer of mince with sauce, then a layer of lasagne sheets, followed by a layer of white sauce with motzarella cheese. Repeat the three layers once of twice more depending on the size of your baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake in the oven until the cheddar cheese has melted and browned.

Serve with a salad or vegetables and enjoy.
