A really simple slice using a great combination flavour - dates and walnuts
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, mix or beat thoroughly.
Add dates and walnuts, mixing thoroughly to evenly distribute through the mix.
Add flour, mix well.
Press mixture into a greased rectangular tin, such as a lamington tin.
Bake at 180C for 25-30 minutes. The centre should be soft like a brownie, but not sloppy - if you insert a knife, it should come out clean but moist.
Cut into squares while still warm.
