I made this one up to get my young son to eat beans. He started eating this one at about 15 months of age. It's great for kids and adults alike.

  • Beans - whatever quantity suits

  • Garlic - 1, 2, 3 cloves, dependant upon beans

  • Butter

  • Bacon - 2 - 3 rashers - finely diced

  • Cream

  • Heat butter in saucepan, add bacon and fry on moderate heat for approx 5 mins. Add garlic and soften. Add beans and fry off for approx 8 minutes, add 300ml - 600ml of cream, bring to boil and reduce to simmer. Check seasoning and add salt & pepper to taste, not too much as flavours will intensify.

  • Simmer for approx 15 mins - to thicken cream sauce and soften beans. Once cream has reduced turn off heat and leave for 5 mins.

  • Serve with Roast Pork or Beef.

  • Scrummy and decadent
