So yummy and as easy and simple as 1,2,3.........


  • 150g Butter, softened, cubed

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed

  • 2 Eggs, room temperature

  • ½ cup Plain Flour, sifted

  • ½ cup Cocoa, sifted

  • Sifted Cocoa or Icing Sugar, to dust.

  • **Optional**

  • ½ cup Macadamia Nuts, roughly chopped

  • or ½ cup White or Dark Chocolate Chips


  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 160ºC. Grease and line the base and sides of square cake pan.

  • 2.

    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  • 3.

    Add eggs, one at a time, on low speed.

  • 4.

    Mix through flour, cocoa and optional ingredient. (i.e. nuts or choc chips)

  • 5.

    Bake at 160ºC for 25-35 minutes or until skewer comes out with a few moist

  • 6.

    Crumbs attached (not sticky batter). Allow to cool, and then turn out on wire rack and peel off lining paper. Cut into squares and dust with extra cocoa or icing sugar prior to serving.


** Try doubling the recipe as the brownies wont last long **
