put in microwave for 1/2 hour very easy


  • 30 grams butter

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 1 cup aborio or long grain rice

  • 3 cups stock

  • parsley and parmassen to taste


  • 1.

    Use a large deep sided microwave dish\

  • 2.

    Melt butter in the microwave

  • 3.

    Stir in onion and cook uncovered on high for 2 minutes

  • 4.

    Add rice and stir well unril coated in butter cook on high for 1 minute

  • 5.

    Add stock and cook on high for 10 minutes

  • 6.

    Cook on high uncovered on high for a further 8 minutes

  • 7.

    Season with black pepper and stir in cheese and parsley

  • 8.

    Stand covered for 5 mins before serving
