Tuna Fingers

Easy Luncheon Dish, kids love it too
But it doesn't work well if you don't have nice sweet and acidic tomatoes (sweet but with bite)

Ingredients

  • 2 Loaves of "Bake at Home" Turkish Bread

  • 425gr Tin Tuna (in Olive Oil preferably)

  • 250gr Creamed Cheese

  • 3 Large Tomatoes (sweet but quite acidic)

  • Salt and Pepper

Method

  • 1.

    Place Turkish Bread loaves in oven according to instructions till crispy on the ouside

  • 2.

    Slice loaves horizontally

  • 3.

    Spread a very generous layer of creamed cheese across the bases of the cut bread

  • 4.

    Drain Tuna, Flake and Spread tuna generously over creamed cheese

  • 5.

    Cover tuna liberally with slices of tomato

  • 6.

    Season well with salt and plenty of pepper

  • 7.

    Spread top half of bread with a light layer of Creamed Cheese

  • 8.

    Sandwich top half of Loaf with bottom half and cut each loaf into 8 fingers

  • 9.

    Serve

Notes

It really is essential to have very acidic but sweet tomatoes for this.
