Sofisticated but super quick to make for the busy cook


  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry

  • Pkt chipolata sausages (ususally 16 to a pack)

  • 1 egg beaten

  • Tomatoe sauce or tomatoe relish


  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180C

  • 2.

    Fry the sausages till brown, leave aside to cool

  • 3.

    Cut the pastry into nine little squares

  • 4.

    Place the sausages on the diagonal of the pastry

  • 5.

    Seal with a bit of the egg mixture and baste the top of the pastry with the egg

  • 6.

    Place on baking sheet and cook for 35-40 minutes or until browned

  • 7.

    Serve warm with sauce or relish

  • 8.

    Makes 16
