Family recipe from the States - great because you make it the day before. Put it in a glass bowl and it looks great and tastes better.
Fill large bowl (preferably glass for presentation) 1/2 full of broken lettuce.
Add the above ingredients, 1 layer at a time, in the order given.
Refrigerate for at least 8 hours
Can vary the ingredients as well - add chopped up boiled eggs, use red capsicum, yellow capsicum, or mixture of 3, red onion, corn to add different colour.
I know adding sugar sounds weird but it doesnt have a sweet taste.
