Variation on a quiche with no crust that can be eaten any time of the day cold or hot


  • 12 eggs

  • 1 onion

  • 2 ham steaks or equivalent bacon

  • 1 cup grated cheese

  • 300ml cream


  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 180 Celsius

  • 2.

    Grease large baking dish (large lasagna size or similar) with butter/margarine

  • 3.

    Dice onion and ham/bacon in to small pieces and spread out over base of dish

  • 4.

    Cover with 1/2 cup grated cheese

  • 5.

    Beat eggs and then add in cream. Mix well and then pour in to dish covering onion, ham/bacon and cheese

  • 6.

    Top with remaining cheese and any spices or herbs you want to put on top. Cook in oven for approx. 40mins until egg has set and is golden brown on top

  • 7.

    Stand to cool and serve with salad, veges or on it's own
