A yummy slice with no fats or oils.


  • 2 eggs separated

  • 1 cup sugar

  • .75 cup S.R. flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 375gms pitted dates

  • 190gms walnut halves


  • 1.

    Beat egg whites until fluffy, then add sugar,

  • 2.

    Beating well until sugar is half dissolved.

  • 3.

    Add egg yolks and vanilla, mix until combined.

  • 4.

    Fold in flour, roughly chopped walnuts and dates.

  • 5.

    Put into a prepared slice tray.

  • 6.

    Bake in a moderate oven for 25minutes, until top is brown.

  • 7.

    Cut into squares while still hot.

  • 8.

    Leave to cool.


Yes try not to share with too many people or you may only get 1 piece!!!!!
