Lamb Braise FAMILY FAVOURITE

Very tasty and tender Lamb in a flavoursome sauce

Ingredients

  • 700g Lamb cubes

  • 2 talespoons olive oil

  • 1 onion finely chopped

  • 3-4 cardamon pods 9 (bruised)

  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 2 teaspoons sweet parika

  • 1/2 cup tomoto puree

  • 500 ml chicken stock

  • 1 red capsicum cut into strips

  • 500g baby zucchinis or

  • whole baby green beans

  • 100g dried figs (optional)

  • 100g whole balnced almonds

Method

  • 1.

    1* Heat oil in a large heavy based pan over medium heat.

  • 2.

    Add lamb in a few portions and cook until brown all over,then move to one side

  • 3.

    Of pan.Add onion,cardamon,cumin,cinnamon,and paprika,stir for 1 minute then stir to combine with lamb.

  • 4.

    2* Add the puree and stock and cook uncovered on a low heat for 30 minutes

  • 5.

    Or until lamb is tender. Add the capsicum stripes ,zucchinis or beans and dried figs.

  • 6.

    Cook for 10 minutes longer.

  • 7.

    Remove cinnamon srick toss through almonds to serve

  • 8.

    ENJOY

Notes

Can be cooked in pressure cooker or slow cooker
