Hot or cold, formal or informal, salad or veges, this easy to prepare and delicious ham will impress your family and friends


  • Leg of ham

  • 1 orange

  • 2 tblspns mustard (seeded or Dijon)

  • 3 tblspns brown sugar

  • white wine

  • cloves


  • 1.

    Mix zest and juice of orange with mustard and brown sugar.

  • 2.

    Slice skin off ham and score fat into diamonds.

  • 3.

    Stud each diamond with a clove.

  • 4.

    Pour about a cup of white wine into a baking dish and add ham.

  • 5.

    Brush or rub in glaze.

  • 6.

    Bake for 20 minutes at 180C until ham looks shiny and rich.


Ham keeps for weeks wrapped in teatowel or ham bag in fridge.
