Delicious, tasty meatballs with or without a tomato sauce. I came about this one by trial and error and my 2 kids love it.


  • 500g Beef Mince

  • 500g Sausage Mince

  • ¾ Cup Breadcrumbs

  • 3 Teaspoons Minced Garlic

  • Handfull of Fresh finely chopped chives

  • Handfull of Fresh Flat Leaf Parsley or Dill

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce

  • ½ cup finely grated fresh parmesan cheese

  • Optional:

  • 1 Jar pasta sauce of your choice ie. bolognaise

  • ½ Jar Passata

  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)


  • 1.

    Mix all of the ingredients together (except the optional) form into small balls.

  • 2.

    Heat a small amount of olive oil in a non stick fry pan and cook meatballs in batches until brown. Drain on paper towel.

  • 3.

    You can either eat them like this or you can drain the oil from the pan put all of the optional ingredients in the pan and add the meat balls to the sauce mix and stir until heated through.

  • 4.

    Serve with mash and veges or rice.
