Foolproof, delicious, cheap and easy to create - this much loved recipe was my 80 year old mother's
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Turn off heat, add brown sugar and stir well.
Beat in the egg and vanilla essence
Add the flour and cocoa and coconut stir well to combine
Place in a well greased slice pan and bake at 180 degrees for approximately 25 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
Ice while hot and sprinkle a handful of coconut over the icing.
Cut into slices when cool.
