Chicken in a Bag

Chicken cooked in an oven bag with chilli and black bean


  • 1 free range chicken

  • 1 oven bag

  • 3 tabs ketchup manis

  • 3 tabs black bean and garlic marinage (Lee Kum Kee Brand)

  • 2 cm piece of ginger, grated

  • 3 cloves of garlic, grated

  • 1 tspn sambal oelek


  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  • 2.

    Combine all ingredients in bowl and stir to combine.

  • 3.

    Place chicken in oven bag and pour over contents of marinade.

  • 4.

    Seal bag and cut small hole in top

  • 5.

    Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until chicken cooked.

  • 6.

    Serve with rice and steamed bok choy
