Minute steak marinated and rolled up with shallots for a quick, tasty and healthy dinner


  • Minute steak

  • Shallots

  • Hoi Sin Sauce

  • Soy Sauce

  • Garlic

  • Ginger

  • Chilli


  • 1.

    Cut Minute steak into 3 pieces

  • 2.

    Cut shallots into lengths (around the same as the pieces of minute steak)

  • 3.

    Place one or two pieces of shallot into one end of the minute steak and roll up. Secure with a toothpick.

  • 4.

    To prepare the marinade use the hoi sin sauce, a dash of soy sauce, chop one small chilli finely along with a clove or two of garlic and a small knob of ginger.

  • 5.

    Place rolled minute steak into marinade and let it sit for an hour or so.

  • 6.

    Cook on a hot BBQ for a couple of minutes or if you like your meat well done a bit longer.

  • 7.

    Serve with salad and enjoy!
