Ceaser Salad with a twist. Preschoolers at the Child Care Centre I worked at loved this version or Ceaser salad.


  • 1 oak leaf lettuce

  • 1 punnet of cherrries tomatoes

  • 200 grams thinly sliced parmesan cheese

  • Croutons (approximately 200grams)

  • 200 grams snow pea sprouts

  • 4 slices of ham

  • Favourite preprepared Ceaser dressing.


  • 1.

    Remove leaves from stem of lettuce,wash and leave to drain.

  • 2.

    Wash and drain cherry tomatoes.

  • 3.

    Cut ham using a fine dice.

  • 4.

    Cut each lettuce leaf into 2 or 3 sections and arrange on the base of a platter or serving plate.

  • 5.

    Cut cherry tomatoes into halves and arrange evenly on the lettuce.

  • 6.

    Add ham,parmesan cheese and croutons.

  • 7.

    Add pre prepared Ceaser dressing.

  • 8.

    Top with snow pea sprouts.

  • 9.



If preparing the salad ahead of time , place in refrigerator to chill and add croutons just before ready to serve .
Ham and parmesan may also be shredded.
Low fat varieties of Ceaser dressing maybe used.
