This is totally vegan and so filling,no meat eater can complain about being hungy after a few of these, so nutricious i came about this from experimenting with other rice burger recipes i found in vego books, i made them more tastier!
Cook brown rice until gluggy keep checking it doesnt dry out.
Steam peas and put aside.
Whie rice is cooking prepare other ingredients.
Fry onion,garlic,ginger,capsicum then add grated zucchinn and or silverbeet or spinaci and grated carrot.
When vegies are cooked just enough dont overcook mix with brown rice.
Add oats and some flour and let sit for 15 mins for oats/flour to soak up moisture. Add fresh parsley,peas,tamari and sea salt and pepper.
Form into medium size balls and roll in breadcrumbs ready to fry.
If your burgers are falling apart add more flour until they stay in form.
Heat up oil and fry evenly on both sides.Enjoy in bread rolls with salad or just with some chutney or chilli sauce,or even more tamari.
Other steamed vegies or sald on side is another option.
