It's a great light lunch that's healthy and delicious


  • 1 kg Lamb Backstrap, thinly sliced

  • 1 Spanish onion, thinly sliced

  • Zest & juice of 1 lemon

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1/2 cup vegie oil

  • 1 cup good red wine

  • 1 inch ginger, grated

  • 4-5 stalks fresh rosemary

  • 1 bunch fresh oregano

  • salt and pepper

  • greek salad

  • pita bread

  • tatziki


  • 1.

    Mix all ingredients, except sala, pitas and tatziki, in a bowl and let lamb marinate overnight. Warm pita breads, spread with tatziki, top with agreek salad (make sure there are olives and good feta through it) shallow fry the lamb and place on top off the salad, then top with tatziki and garnish with a couple of mint leaves and serve.
