A cross between a cookie and a bun, these virtually fat and sugar free delights are totally guilt free!


  • 2 ripe medium sized bananas

  • 2 egg whites

  • 155 g stoned and chopped dates (use extra raisins in place of dates if preferred)

  • 90 g raisins

  • 135 g rolled oats


  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 180C

  • 2.

    Mash bananas to a rough texture

  • 3.

    Add egg whites and chopped dates, ensuring dates are separated and well-coated with mixture

  • 4.

    Mix in rolled oats and raisins

  • 5.

    Set aside for 10 minutes

  • 6.

    Place teaspoons of dough on baking tray (I prefer to place a silicon baking sheet on the tray first), flattening with the back of the spoon

  • 7.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are lightly browned

  • 8.

    Allow to cool

  • 9.

    Store in air-tight container in refrigerator or freezer

These are great with no added sugar nor added fat - important when you're on a healthy heart diet.
They're easy to prepare and easy to eat!
