Gnocchi with a chilli tomato sauce
Boil potatoes until tender, then drain, mash or rice potatoes & leave to cool.
Stir through egg & most of the flour. Add S&P.
Knead together to get a mixture that is not too sticky (add more flour if needed)
Roll into 4 sausages & cut into bit size pieces.
Indent with a fork.
Bring a pot of water to a slow simmer & cook gnocchi until they float.
Cook sliced onion, add crushed garlic & sliced chill until tender.
Add bacon & fry.
Add splash of wine & tin of tomatoes. Season well.
Simmer for 5 minutes,
Add torn basil & serve on gnocchi
