A buttery dough is spiraled around a cinnamon spiced apple filling and baked until golden brown.


  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • 1 Cup of SR Flour

  • Milk

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 4 Apples

  • 1 tbsp Golden Syrup

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 1 Cup Boiling Water

  • 1 Desertspoon Butter


  • 1.

    - Rub butter into flour, mix with milk to make a stiff dough

  • 2.

    - Roll dough out fairly thin and cover with grated apple and cinnamon

  • 3.

    - roll up to make a long roly poly

  • 4.

    - cut into silces and put into dish (Cut side up)

  • 5.

    - mix toegther golden syrup, sugar, boiling water & butter in a jug, then pour over the slices.

  • 6.

    - Bake in a moderate (180ÂșC) oven for approx 30min or until golden brown


Serve hot or cold with ice-cream
