Fig Jam

An old favourite made easy.

Ingredients

  • 2.5kg figs

  • 2kg Sugar

  • 600ml Water

  • 250ml Vinegar.

Method

  • 1.

    Boil sugar, vinegar and water until sugar is dissolved.

  • 2.

    Add figs which have been cut up as preferred.

  • 3.

    Boil until fruit begis to sink and syrup ha a glace look.

  • 4.

    Bottle into sterilised hot jars immediately and seal secured.

Notes

This keeps very well.
