Tasty low cholesteral family or entertaining dish


  • 500grms of turkey mince

  • 1 clove of crushed garlic

  • 1 medim onion

  • 250 gram chopped broccolli

  • 150grm sliced mushroom

  • 1 carrot chopped

  • 1 tblspn of sweet chilli sauce

  • dash of worsteshire sauce

  • 1 can pureed tomato

  • salt and course milled pepper

  • 1 bottle of pasta sauce

  • 1 1/2 box of lasagne sheets

  • 3 tablspn marg or butter

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 1 tblspn of flour

  • grated cheese for top (nimbin cheese is great alternative as is made with vegetable fat and not animal)

  • fresh herbs (optional)


  • 1.

    Saute onions and garlic. then add turkey mince to brown. Add all other ingedients in first paragraph. Set aside.

  • 2.

    In another saucepan melt marg/butter remove from stove and add flour to form a paste and not to dry. Slowly add milk while whisking ingrdients and set back on stove to reach boil while continuously stirring till smooth and thick.

  • 3.

    Line lasagne tray or grease with butter and flour.Lay 1 layer of pasta sheets.

  • 4.

    Cover with half the sauce and lay another layer of pasta and add the rest of the sauce. Add a final layer of pasta and cover with white sauce and cheese'

  • 5.

    Cook at 180" for approximately 45 mins or until fork slides through easily.


Serve with italian leafy salad
