This chicken dish is easy and very tasty, can be prepared ahead of time and place in the oven 20 mins before serving


  • 4 Chicken fillets

  • 50 g butter

  • 8 rindless bacon rashes

  • 2 cloves crushed garlic

  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce

  • freshly ground pepper

  • 1 cup dry breadcumbs

  • butter extra


  • 1.

    Dice bacon and saute until cooked and slightly crispy, remove from pan and drain on paper towel.

  • 2.

    Melt butter, add garlic, mustard, worcestershire sauce and pepper to butter and stir.

  • 3.

    Dip the chicken fillets in the butter mixture to coat and place flatly side by side in an ovenproof dish.

  • 4.

    Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, enough to lightly cover the chicken, then sprinkle the cooked bacon evenly over the top. Sprinkle another light layer of breadcrumbs and place a few dobs of extra butter on the top.

  • 5.

    Cover with alfoil or a lid and bake in a 180c oven for 20 mins, remove foil lid or and bake for a furter 5 mins. Remove from oven, cover and let rest for 5 mins then serve.


You can adjust the amount of garlic, worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper to taste.
This receipe also can be adjusted easily for more or less people.
This dish can be prepared before hand and placed into the oven when required. A great dinner party dish and very very tasty!
You could add dry chilli flakes to add an extra zing.
You don't need to add salt as the bacon is salty enough.
