Childhood favourite, lovely crunchy chocolate biscuit, simple to make.


  • 200gr Butter

  • 75gr Castor Sugar

  • 175gr Plain Flour

  • 25gr Cocoa

  • 50gr Cornflakes

  • 1/2 Cup Icing Sugar and Walnuts to decorate


  • 1.

    Soften butter, add sugar and beat till light and creamy, add sifted flour and cocoa, lastly add cornflakes.

    Put small spoonfuls on a greased baking tray about 3cm apart and bake for 15mins at 180c. Cool completely on a cooling rack and then ice with chocolate icing and top with a walnut.

    Chocolate Icing

  • 4.

    Sift together 1/2 cup icing sugar and about a tablespoon of cocoa add a small amount of water (about a tsp at a time) mix until smooth. Do not add to much water as the icing should not be to runny
