A brownie like slice that any chocaholic would love


  • Milk chocolate 200 grams chopped

  • brown sugar 1 cup

  • 3 eggs beaten

  • 1 cup plain flour sifted

  • i cup desicated coconut

  • 1 tin of pitted black cherries

  • 2/3 cup of choc bits

  • 150 grams of butter chopped


  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. lightly grease a slice pan with oil spray and line with baking paper.

  • 2.

    Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium sacepan on low heat, stirring until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl and cool slightly.

  • 3.

    Mix in the eggs until combined. Add the sugar, flour and coconut, mix with a wooden spoon until smooth. fold in the cherries and half the choc bits.

  • 4.

    Put into the pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle with the rest of the choc bits.

  • 5.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes or until cooked when tested with a tooth pick.

  • 6.

    Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool compleatly.

  • 7.

    Serve cut into squares. YUMMY!!!


Serve this slice in the kids school lunch box as a treat. Or treat yourself for that matter.
