You don't need a dip with these easy prawns. They are tasty enough to speak for themselves.


  • 24 peeled and de-veined prawns

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp chilli sauce

  • ½ inch fresh ginger

  • 2 tbsp soya sauce

  • 1 tbsp dry sherry or wine

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Satay sticks

  • Lemon for garnish


  • 1.

    Grind the ginger finely. Mix with the rest of the ingredients. Add the prawns and mix well to marinate.

  • 2.

    Thread 2 to 3 prawns on each skewer ready for grilling. Heat on a hot grill turning once until cooked.
