This recipe takes the classic English scotch egg and spices it up a bit with a dash of chilli flakes and smokey paprika.


  • 1 egg, hard boiled and shell removed

  • 2 sausages, meat removed from the casing

  • Breadcrumbs, toasted

  • 2 tsp chilli flakes

  • 2 tsp paprika


  • 1.

    Mix the sausage meat with the chilli flakes and paprika and season well. Mould around the hard boiled egg and coat with breadcrumbs. Deep fry in vegetable oil for 3 minutes. Drain on kitchen towel and serve.
