This fun treat is great for kids who will enjoy making them as much as eating them. Make them your own by using your favourite chocolate bars.


  • For the cake

  • 300g/ 10oz milk chocolate, melted

  • 150g/ 5oz butter, melted

  • 200g/ 8oz chocolate loaf/ginger loaf cake

  • 60g/ 3oz Rice Crispies

  • 225g/ 7oz selection of sweets to include Aero bar, (such as Crunchie bars, Twix, Marshmallows, Kit Kat, Maltesers etc, well chopped)

  • 2 tbsp Golden syrup

  • To serve

  • 150g/ 5oz chocolate, melted chocolate, melted

  • Selection of hundreds and thousands or silver and gold edible balls


  • 1.

    Line a cake tray with paper cases.

  • 2.

    Pour the melted chocolate and butter into a large bowl and then crumble in the chocolate cake and loaf cake. Follow with the rice crispies and sweetie selection.

  • 3.

    Mix thoroughly and fill paper cases. Place in the fridge and allow to set for two hours.

  • 4.

    To serve, dip cakes into the warm chocolate followed by the hundreds and thousands or edible balls if using.
