Choc-o-holics will adore this decadent dessert.


  • 110g flour

  • 280ml milk

  • 1 egg

  • 25g melted butter

  • 55g icing sugar

  • Grated zest of 1 orange

  • Groundnut oil to cook

  • 100g chocolate for garnish

  • For the sauce

  • 100g dark chocolate, broken into small chunks

  • 140ml double cream

  • 25g butter

  • For the filling

  • 100g melted chocolate

  • 140ml whipped double cream

  • 4 oranges segmented


  • 1.

    For the pancakes, make the batter with the eggs, milk and flour. Whisk, add the butter and orange zest. Make 3 pancakes per person.

  • 2.

    For the sauce, whip the cream and then boil it. Pour it over the chocolate pieces then add the butter.

  • 3.

    Melt the chocolate for the filling then add the whipped cream.

  • 4.

    Place a pancake on a plate in an 8” ring. Layer with orange segments and some chocolate cream then a pancake then repeat until all the pancakes have been used up.

  • 5.

    Grate chocolate over the top then serve with the chocolate sauce.
