These cherry tomatoes soaked in vodka and other spices can be enjoyed as a snack on their own or used to garnish a Bloody Mary.


  • 500g/ 1 lb 2 oz small cherry tomatoes or baby plum tomatoes

  • 500ml/ 18 fl oz vodka

  • Splash sherry

  • Splash Worcester Sauce

  • Splash Tabasco

  • Teaspoon horseradish (optional)

  • 4-5 sprigs thyme

  • Sprinkle of celery salt

  • To dip

  • Salt and celery salt mixed together in a tiny bowl


  • 1.

    Wash, then prick all the cherry tomatoes with a needle and put them in a bowl.

  • 2.

    Mix all your bloody Mary ingredients together and pour it over the tomatoes.

  • 3.

    Place in the fridge and leave them for 2 days-2 weeks, depending on your eagerness to eat them!

  • 4.

    To serve, remove from the fridge and bring up to room temperature. They should be dipped in the salt mixture and eaten.
